GREEN TEAM
Who? What? Where? When? Why?  How?

Who- A diverse group of staff members and students from Manchester Essex Regional High School and Middle School who are hoping to fuel the green revolution. The group is not exclusive and all who maintain a passion for the environment are welcome!

What- We are a club inside of the school and are our own entity. Each member works on particular assignments that they have a special interest in so they can bring new information or news to the entire group.

Where- The Manchester Essex Regional School District is our focus, but the entirety of the two towns will be affected. Because a new school is in the process of being built behind our current location we plan on bringing new techniques along with us in order to create an environmentally friendly area.

When- The entirety of the group meets about every other week while sub-committees have the ability to meet whenever they would like to, and do so every other week. This year is allowing the group to start working on projects that are going to soar within the new building and resources.~

Why- We are hoping to get the absolute most out of the new facilities, not for us but for the Earth. We have a passion for all things natural and want to postpone and/or weaken the effects of global warming on the future!~

How- We are using a brilliant recycling program called "single stream recycling" (all recyclable items into 1 bin). We will promote using re-usable water bottles, conserving energy, fresher and cleaner water, and so much more!

"Men and nature must work hand in hand. The throwing out of balance of the resources of nature throws out of balance also the lives of men."
[from a Message to Congress on the Use of Our Natural Resources, Washington, D.C., January 24, 1935.]
