UNITED STATES HISTORY II Grade 11

The junior program is the third year of the three-year sequence in social studies and the second year of study of United States history. This course will present an in-depth study of United States history and government from 1900-Present. Topics studied include the Progressive Era, World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, the Cold War, the civil rights movement, and modern America. Preparation for the Advanced Placement examination is not a focus of this course. Honors level courses are intensified so as to challenge the higher skilled and maturated student.
